In this video, I share my real-world experience creating tools for 3ds Max, Photoshop, and ArchViz workflows using language models like Codex and Claude.
We experiment with scripts, library managers, rendering tools, layer systems, batch editors, node-based scatter prototypes, and Photoshop plugins. We’ll explore where these tools are truly useful, where they start to break down, what risks they pose, why they tend to produce inefficient solutions, and why human judgment remains essential. I discuss automation, AI-assisted programming, ArchViz, in-house tools for small and medium-sized studios, and the real limitations I’ve encountered trying to build useful software without being a professional programmer.
If you work in 3D, architectural visualization, design, post-production, or technical direction, this video can help you better understand the role AI can play in your actual workflow.
